Overview
At Christ Lutheran Church, worship is about magnifying God
in everything we do. Our services are designed to glorify God
in a variety of ways.
8 a.m. Traditional – this service follows a traditional structure
with creative alternatives to the sung and spoken words of the
liturgy. Organ, choir, and instruments lead the congregation in
traditional hymnody, and the worship leaders wear traditional
garments.
11:00 a.m. Liturgical – this service
uses traditional liturgies as in the new
Lutheran Service Book; the Kyrie,
Gloria, This is the Feast, Sanctus,
Agnus Dei, and Thank the Lord, or The
Nunc Dimittis. Organ, choir, and
instruments lead the congregation in
traditional hymnody, and the worship
leaders wear traditional garments.
10:30 a.m. Contemporary – this informal service in the
gymnasium is led by our Praise Band; it features contemporary
songs and the occasional hymn sung in popular styles. Dress is
casual and multi-media is used.
7:00 p.m. Grounded – this is a worshipping community of teens and college age students who seek to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Led by the band, Ears Of Thirst, along with teams of youth and college age, the desire is to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through prayer, song, video, messages from the Bible, and friendship with one another. GROUNDED meets every Sunday night from 7 to 8 in the church sanctuary. Everyone is welcome!
