Music Ministry
Sunday School Choir – this vocal ensemble for grades 1-6 (7-8 also welcome!) meets on Wednesdays from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the choir room and sings for worship about every two months, including the Children’s Christmas Service in December. Participation is open to all students in that age group, members and non-members alike.
Youth Praise Band – for high school and college age musicians and vocalists. This ensemble plays for the evening youth worship services the third Sunday of each month. They rehearse on Sunday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
School Children’s Choirs –
both vocal and hand bell choirs are connected with our elementary school program. There are two to four hand bell groups, two choirs and singing opportunities for the primary grades on a special-schedule basis. These groups rehearse during the class day when school is in session and each group contributes to the worship services of the congregation about every six weeks.
The Praise Band is the musical ensemble for our 10:30 a.m. contemporary worship. While participation in this ensemble is by invitation, if you play an instrument or like to sing contemporary music and would like to become a member of the Praise Band, you are encouraged to make your desire and skills known by calling the church office.
Sabbath Sound is a 5-octave hand bell ensemble for high school age and older. The ringers meet for rehearsal on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. from September through early June. This ensemble leads in Sunday worship about every 4-6 weeks and prepares selections for special festival services.
Sanctuary Choir is for men and women of high school age and older. They rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m., from September through early June. This choir helps lead the hymns for our traditional worship and special festival occasions.
